Church Podcast Workflow is an internal tool used by authorized Laurel Church of Christ IT personnel to prepare and manage the church’s own sermon and Bible-class videos on YouTube.

Information the application accesses

With the operator’s Google authorization, the application may access the church’s YouTube channel identity, videos, video metadata and status, captions, custom thumbnails, and playlist memberships. It may upload new church videos and update these items only as directed by the authorized workflow.

The application does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Analytics, general Google account data, or third-party YouTube channels through this OAuth client.

How information is used

YouTube information is used only to verify the authorized church channel, upload owner-approved church videos initially as private, apply reviewed publication components, reconcile interrupted operations, and verify the exact result. The application does not sell information, serve advertising, profile viewers, or use Google user data for unrelated purposes.

Storage and security

OAuth credentials are stored in a restricted secrets manager. Short-lived access tokens are held in process memory. Durable workflow records contain stable IDs, hashes, decisions, and sanitized results rather than credentials or raw OAuth responses.

Private transcript evidence and working media are kept outside public source control and are subject to the church’s review, archive, and retention controls. The application uses HTTPS, verifies the church channel’s immutable identity before changes, starts uploads as private, and requires separate authorization before public release or deletion.

Sharing

The application sends data to Google and YouTube only to provide the requested YouTube functionality. Bitwarden Secrets Manager protects configured OAuth secrets. The application does not sell or rent Google user data. Information may be disclosed when required by law or to protect the church’s systems and users.
