Church Podcast Workflow

A small, church-operated tool that prepares and manages our own sermon and Bible-class videos on YouTube.

Authorized Laurel Church of Christ IT personnel use this workflow to turn recordings into finished videos, review privacy-sensitive material, and keep publication records consistent.

It is not a public account service, a viewer-tracking product, or a tool for managing anyone else’s YouTube channel.

How the workflow protects church media

Before any change, the workflow confirms the immutable identity of the Laurel Church of Christ YouTube channel. New videos are uploaded privately, and publication is a separate reviewed decision.

The workflow verifies processing, metadata, reviewed captions, thumbnails, playlists, and visibility against the approved package. YouTube videos are never deleted without separate, explicit authorization.

The OAuth connection can upload videos and manage the church’s own video details. It does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Analytics, unrelated Google account data, or third-party YouTube channels.

Credentials are kept in a restricted secrets manager. Temporary working media is cleaned up only after archive and backup checks.
